The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) is planned as a model integrated economic development comprised of an industrial hub for heavy, medium and light industries. KEO's scope of work includes the planning and development of the Northern and Central Industrial Zones in Duqm.
The total project area is approximately 222 square kilometers. This consultancy services consist of 4 phases -
Phase 1: Planning for the development of the Northern and Central Industrial Zone at Duqm.
Phase 2: Conducting a feasibility study with regards to the project scope.
Phase 3: Development of the preliminary and final design of the project.
Phase 4: Preparation of implementation plans and tender document packages.
Duqm Industrial City is a significant component in the economic development of the Sultanate of Oman. The development of an informed master plan and associated infrastructure paves the way for a diverse and thriving industrial center, and allows for maximum strategic advantage from the existing world-class port area.
