The Pearl GTL project comprises the development of upstream gas production facilities as well as an onshore GTL plant that will produce 140,000 barrels per day (bpd) of GTL products as well as approximately 120,000 bpd of associated condensate and liquefied petroleum gas. A plot of land has been established at the project site for disposal of non-hazardous three waste streams: (1) Salt; (2) Bio-sludge; and (3) Inert general waste produced during the operational life of the project in the RLC Waste Management Facility (WMF) in Qatar.

KEO services included the detailed design and documentation for a fully lined landfill site including: fully lined waste landfill cell; Leachate management system; shared berm with adjacent landfill; debris control screens; separate areas for storage of wastes; landfill operation and control manual; landfill closure plan; landfill access roads; and storm water drainage.
