After a comprehensive audit by LRQA, KEO PMI is proud to announce that we have been awarded ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Standard certification. The scope of certification covers Project Management, Construction Management and Construction Supervision services provided by PMI and includes the internal management of health & safety within KEO offices, managed by FM&A. The 3 day audit was conducted in 3 offices and on 5 projects in the UAE, KSA and Qatar.
This is the culmination of a process that began nearly 2 years ago with our successful accreditation to ISO 9001.
ISO 45001 is the world’s first occupational health and safety international standard. ISO 45001 sets out the requirements for an effective occupational health and safety management system and is aligned with the ISO 9001 Quality Management standard, both standards adopting the same structure and general requirements. ISO 45001 replaces the OHSAS 18001 standard which was introduced 20 years ago.
ISO 45001 was officially released in March of 2019 and KEO is one of the first Consultants in the Gulf to achieve certification to the new standard.
