Dr. Abdul Aziz Sultan has been President of KEO International Consultants since 1992 and is also an owner. He has had a long and distinguished career as a practicing professional gaining great respect in the fields of civil engineering, project management, contract law, and as an expert witness. He joined KEO in 1971 as Chief Engineer, went on to become Deputy Managing Director in 1977, then Managing Director in 1983.
Dr. Sultan has helped elevate the stature of the entire professional consulting industry in the region. His contributions extend to participation in numerous boards and committees including Member, Board of Directors – Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (1972-1975), Chairman of the Board of Directors - Gulf Bank (1989- 1992), Member, Council of Graduate Studies, University of Kuwait. Dr. Sultan is also the Chairman of Sultan Educational Foundation which provides financial support to students attending universities and colleges.
Dr. Sultan is a regular contributing editorial writer in the media. He retains active membership in various professional associations including the American Concrete Institute (ACI) - elected Man of the Year for 2004, the American Society of Engineers (ASE), the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), the American Management Association and the Pre-Stressed Concrete Institute.
Dr. Sultan holds Bachelor of Science, Master and PhD. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Donna Sultan has been CEO of KEO since 1991 and became President and CEO in 2016. Educated in the US and raised in Europe and the US, her background includes strategic planning and management consulting. She has over 40 years’ professional experience in the Middle East and is ranked as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the Arab World, one of the 12 most influential businesswomen in the Gulf.
She has been awarded many accolades for her efforts and was named ‘Construction Executive of the Year’, ‘Business Woman of the Year’ and recently named MEED’s ‘Female Leader of the Year”.
Donna has skillfully positioned the firm as a globally recognized multidiscipline practice working on some of the region’s largest and most prestigious construction projects and serving a wide array of public and private sector clients spanning the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe. She has fostered and developed KEO’s renowned blend of highly skilled project and construction management competencies, design innovation, engineering know-how, sustainability principles, local knowledge and global insights, which has in turn, earned the company the highest level of client confidence and industry respect. She personally oversaw the development of the allied practices, as subsidiaries bringing in new revenue streams from brands such as InSite, C-Quest, F&M+.

Sr. Vice President & Partner
Ali Dashti has been with KEO for over 25 years and has been involved in some of the firm’s most challenging construction projects. He began his career with KEO in 1988 as a Claims Analyst and has since held positions as Construction Engineer, Planning Engineer, Project Control Manager, Project Manager and Construction Manager.
In 1995, Ali was promoted to Assistant Director - Construction Management & Supervision Division where he oversaw numerous large construction projects. In 2001, Ali was promoted to Vice President & Director of Marketing to help guide the growth of KEO across all markets. He then was promoted to Senior Vice President and made part of the executive leadership of KEO. While under his guidance, the firm has seen unparalleled growth and continues to thrive in a challenging and competitive market.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Project Management from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
Sr. Vice President, Operations
Greg Karpinski is the Sr. Vice President of Operations at KEO International Consultants. Before this role, Greg held the title of Chief Treasury Officer and advisor to the President and CEO. In addition to overseeing KEO wide Operations, he is responsible for managing the company’s financing, new strategic initiatives and implementing a range of business process improvement programs. He has more than 20 years of management and investing experience across a range of industries.
Prior to joining KEO, he served for two years, as the Chief Operating Officer for a global on-demand custom clothing start-up, Isabella Wren, with a mandate to streamline operations and prepare the company for growth which led to the successful effort to secure the company a new investment and business partner.
Before joining Isabella Wren, Greg spent eight years at Standard Chartered Bank finishing his time at the bank as Managing Director with Standard Chartered Private Equity (“SCPE”) and Co-CEO of the USD658m Standard Chartered IL&FS Asia Infrastructure Growth Fund (“SCI Asia”). While a member of the SCPE team, he played a key role in completing over USD1 billion equity investments in Asian and African power, transportation, shipping, telecommunications, water and environmental services companies. Before his time at SCB, Greg was a Co-Founder of Arizona Heart International. From 2001 to 2006, Greg worked at InterGen, a global power generation joint venture company owned by Shell and Bechtel that had assets in in Asia and the United States. Before joining InterGen, Greg spent three years with British Petroleum.
Greg holds an MBA from Boston University (United States) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Tufts University (United States).
Vice President and General Manager, KSA
Mark Jamieson is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in construction project management, engineering and delivery in the Middle East, UK and around the globe. As well as leading major construction projects from nuclear to rail and infrastructure to building projects, he is a champion for developing professional engineers across the region. He is a Fellow of the UK’s Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and a Chartered Manager with Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Birmingham.
Having spent 17 years as a Contractor with Carillion PLC, one of the UK’s foremost construction companies, Mark joined Project Management Consultancy Turner International Middle East leading various mega-projects across the UAE and GCC over a 10 year period. With a reputation for project recovery and timely delivery, he has the ability to provide clarity of thought and motivational leadership which engenders strong team loyalty.
He joined KEO as Executive Director – Project Management Services in 2017 and currently represents the Project Management International (PMI) division on the KEO Direct Leadership Management Board.
Mr. Jamieson is the UAE Country Representative for the ICE and Council Member representing the Middle East and Africa. He is also Chairman of Darjeeling Cricket Club, the oldest such club in Dubai.
Managing Director, InSite-An Affiliated Practice of KEO
Chris is an urban design, master planning and landscape architecture veteran and an acclaimed practitioner with a career that spans over 25 years. Throughout his extensive career, he has led a wide-ranging number of urban design, master planning and landscape architecture projects across the globe. In his role as MD of InSite, an allied practice of KEO International Consultants, he is responsible for running the entire practice and setting its design agenda. His business strategy is to ensure continued growth through continuously innovating design excellence in the planning and creation of sustainable environments. Chris’ vision is to leverage the talent within InSite and the KEO family of disciplines to mould an even more successful, grounded and dynamic practice that brings the optimal sustainable solutions to our clients, communities and the environment. He will be implementing international best practice, applying his client-centric approach, while overseeing project delivery to the highest standards.
Chris was previously Senior Vice President and Global Director of Planning at HOK and member of the HOK’s Board of Directors and the Management Board. From large-scale land use and master planning developments to detail landscape designs, Chris has focused on bringing legible form to complex ecological, social and programmatic processes through elegant and sustainable designs. He has a passion for investigating environments from multiple viewpoints and working collaboratively with design teams to bring these places alive for future generations.
Chris holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a BA in Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design as well as a BA in Art History & Africana Studies from Cornell University. In his career, he has held teaching positions at leading U.S. and U.K universities in the fields of planning and landscape architecture. He continues to serve as a visiting critic on design juries and is an active contributor to worldwide industry events.
As Managing Director of InSite, Chris takes on a key influential role by also joining KEO’s Executive Leadership Management Board (ELB), actively participating in setting direction and developing strategic plans for KEO’s Corporate business.
Co-Executive Director & Business Strategy and Governance Director, KEO Design
Tony Brania is an executive with a strong track record of delivering business objectives. He has extensive major capital infrastructure projects experience and a deep understanding of the entire project lifecycle. He has led advisory and delivery teams for leading consultancies and understands the importance of suitable corporate governance.
Prior to joining KEO in 2019, Tony most recently held leadership positions at INPEX and PwC in Perth, Australia. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the Northumbria University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Henley School of Management.
When he joined KEO in 2017, Tony led the team responsible to the ministry of Public Authority for Housing Welfare (P.A.H.W.) for developing the original master plan and implementing the subsequent program management controls framework for the construction of the multi-billion-dollar South Al Mutlaa City commercial and residential development.
As Co-Executive Director of Design and & Business Strategy and Governance Director, Tony is focused on commercial management, implementing and ensuring best practices are in place, enhancement and compliance to KEO’s QA/QC policies and directly managing KEO-Design’s BIM and Digital Technologies Strategy.
Vice President, KEO-PM-CM Corporate
Awni Farah is a professional Civil Engineer with over 38 years’ experience, most of which have been with KEO. Before becoming Vice President, he held the positions of Deputy Director, Director and Managing Director of the PM-CM Division at KEO headquarters in Kuwait. His experience includes a large number of high rise office, residential and mixed use towers, educational complexes, malls, hotels, housing projects, large scale waterfront and urban developments, as well as major infrastructure projects such as waste water treatment plants. Awni has been responsible for operations in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Qatar as well as in Kuwait. These include the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the Sharq Waterfront and Bayan Palace in Kuwait, Education City in Doha, and Jumeirah Palm Island in Dubai. Awni is an active member of the Corporate Risk Management Unit providing internal and external audit services.
Awni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA.
Luca Vigliero, KEO’s Design Director, has over 15 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on complex projects that focus on delivering outstanding architecture of the highest standards across the Middle East and Europe.
His experience consists of master planning, mixed-use developments, cultural and exhibition design, residential, hospitality and commercial buildings. He is renowned for his approach to creating holistic architecture by designing buildings as response to their context in multiple facets.
Prior to his appointment at KEO, Luca has held roles as the Design Lead at Perkins+Will and Senior Architect at RMJM International in the UAE, Senior Architect at Massimiliano Fuksas Architetto in Italy. He first began his career at the Office of Metropolitan Architecture in the Netherlands and his portfolio includes such high-profile projects as De Rotterdam Mixed Use Tower, Tbilisi Public Service Hall and Fondazione Prada MoMA.
Luca holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Genoa, Italy and is a certified LEED Green Associate and member of the Italian Council of Architecture.
He has won a number of design awards throughout his distinguished career and was recently shortlisted as Architect of the Year 2018, by Middle East Architect.
Director of Architecture
Amin Jazayeri sets extremely high standards, and focuses on quality and its improvement as a measure of success and how the team can collaborate more fully to ensure that the goals of individuals, studios and KEO are fully aligned. As KEO’s Director of Architecture, he believes that the design team will flourish in an environment where trust, individual wellbeing and personal growth are established parameters.
Amin is a highly experienced Architectural Leader with 15 years of experience, working with globally renowned design firms across Europe and the Middle East. Prior to his appointment at KEO, he has held senior roles at Perkins+Will, Gensler, SSH Design and Aedas and has worked on diverse projects such as St. Joseph’s College, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre and the Manchester City FC Football Academy.
He has a proven track record of successful delivery of projects from the point of inception through to completion, approaching his work in a holistic and practical manner without losing site of the importance of design details.
Amin holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from the Manchester School of Architecture in the UK, and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Executive Director, KEO Infrastructure
James Donlan first joined KEO as an engineer in 2009 and has steadily risen through the ranks to become the Executive Director of the Infrastructure Division. James is a chartered engineer with nearly 20 years of experience and has worked in the Middle East for over a decade.
He has been instrumental to the success of some of KEO’s largest infrastructure projects, including King Abdullah Economic City in KSA, South Sabah al Ahmed City in Kuwait, the QP District in Doha, Khalifa and Shakhbout Cities in Abu Dhabi and the International Financial Center in Kuala Lumpur. Clients with whom he has worked include Etihad Rail, the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport, Aldar, Musanada in Abu Dhabi; MoTC and Ashghal in Qatar, The Public Authority for Housing Welfare in Kuwait and Diriyah Gate Development Agency in Riyadh.
James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Transport Engineering and Planning from the University of Salford. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation in the United Kingdom and has extensive experience of both project management and program management, leading some of KEO's largest projects across the region.
Prior to his latest appointment, James was the Transportation Manager of KEO’s Infrastructure Division, leading the Transportation Planning, Highways Engineering and Structural Engineering Teams in Abu Dhabi and holding regional responsibility for KEO's transportation teams across the GCC.
In his current role as Executive Director of Infrastructure, his responsibilities include overseeing delivery for all KEO infrastructure projects, engaging in business development activities and liaising with clients.
Co-Managing Director, KEO PM-CM
John Darroch is a qualified engineer with over 35 years of project experience. More than 10 of those years has been in the region working for international world-class consultants, leading PM and CM/CS teams in Oman, Kuwait and the UAE on mega Construction projects. Previously he has spent 25 years working for World-class Contractors in the UK, Singapore and KSA. He has led and managed autonomous business units on immense Projects such as Heathrow’s Terminal 5. His all-round project delivery experience includes multiple sectors such as infrastructure, building, aviation, transportation and the Oil & Gas sector.
John holds a BSc (Hons.) in Civil & Structural Engineering from the University of Manchester, along with Executive Diplomas in Management and Strategic Management from the Chartered Management Institute in the UK. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and member of the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE).
He has been with KEO since 2017 in senior management positions, the last being that of Executive Director, Project Management Operations and Support Services in the Project Management/Construction Management International Division.
As a Co-Managing Director of PM/CM International Division, John’s joint mandate is to drive excellence in the delivery of PM/CM services, run a profitable operation, and to promoting growth for the division through business development efforts in line with KEO’s strategies for 2020 and beyond. John is also a full member of KEO’s Executive Leadership Management Board.
Co-Managing Director, KEO PM-CM
Ghassan has had a 37 year career with KEO, joining in 1982. He is one of our longest and one of the most highly respected serving leaders. His entire career has been in the delivery of CM/CS services. He has risen in the ranks from a site based professional, to CM and Chief RE, to Director of CM/CS Services and to his last position, that of Senior Executive Director for CM/CS Services in PMI. He also has been and continues to be the official UAE Representative for KEO.
Some of the highlights of his career as direct project delivery leader has included iconic hotel and conference centers, university campuses, tall towers, large scale mixed use developments, mega housing developments and other landmark projects. In his capacity as Director and Executive Director of CM/CS services he has overseen project delivery in all of the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and in KSA for the past 20 years.
He has earned a reputation as someone that can be relied upon to bring maturity of judgement, capacity for objectivity in the analysis and solutions to complex project construction delivery challenges.
Ghassan holds a BSc. In Civil Engineering and is a member of the Kuwait, Jordan and UAE Societies of Engineers.

Managing Director, C-Quest-An affiliated practice of KEO
Clive De Villiers has over 35 years’ experience in the civil engineering and construction industries, over 20 of which have been with KEO. He has worked in a wide range of capacities for design, consultancy and construction management companies as well as for contractors. He has been involved with projects all across the Gulf region – Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, as well as Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Kazakhstan and Iran. Clive’s comprehensive experience covers infrastructure, marine, residential, office and mixed use projects including complex, large scale urban and resort developments.
Clive holds a Bachelor of Science (Quantity Surveying) degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Director of Sustainability and Environmental Services
Christian is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Waste Management (MCIWM) with over 16 years’ experience, 10 of which have been based in the Middle East. In his role as Director of Sustainability and Environmental Services, Christian is responsible for the operation of the entire KEO business unit, which includes sustainability, environmental and waste services. Christian has been working for KEO since 2013, joining as a Principle Consultant prior to being promoted to Regional Environmental Manager in 2015 and recently to Director of Sustainability and Environmental Services in 2018.
During Christian’s tenure with KEO, he has established a reputation for developing arguably the strongest locally based waste consultancy team currently operating within the Middle East. Christian has consistently demonstrated his effectiveness in challenging and complex operations. His expertise extends into pollution prevention and control applications, solid waste strategies, asbestos surveying and construction quality assurance engineering of waste infrastructure. He has a reputation for the thoroughness of his environmental assessment and compliance auditing, as well as for his delivery of comprehensive waste and environmental planning studies and his ground investigation skills and experience. Christian has a well-established record in site supervision, is an articulate and cogent presenter of complex plans and an accomplished author of technical and regulatory documentation. He is a Consultant of outstanding quality and energy in a specialist field of increasing importance to KEO, the region and to our clients.
Prior to joining KEO, Christian held a position with a major international consulting firm as Principle Consultant responsible for growing the waste and compliance auditing business and he has also worked as a Senior Environmental Consultant with Parsons Brinkerhoff, both in the Middle East.
Christian holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Waste Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Geology from Glasgow University in Scotland.
Director of Structural Engineering
Andrey Danchev has a successful track record of over 24 years, working in varied environments for large international multi-disciplinary companies in Bulgaria, Australia, South Africa, Philippines and the United Arab Emirates. He has displayed expertise in design using variety of building materials applied across a broad range of structures and geographical locations, with his keen focus on efficiency, quality and consistency in the design process. Throughout his career he has been responsible for the design, management and construction supervision of a number of engineering projects with contract values of over USD 400M.
Andrey holds a Master’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from the University of Architecture & Civil Engineering, Sofia, Bulgaria, and is a member of the Institution of Engineers – Australia and the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design – Bulgaria and is also registered with FEANI (European Federation of National Engineering Associations).
As KEO’s Director of Structural Engineering, Andrey is responsible for the structural engineering output for all of KEO offices. In this role, he ensures that the structural team achieves the strategic objective of the design division, provides technical leadership, mentoring, support and organization to the engineering talent pool, establishes and maintains rigorously high standards and excellence in innovation. He ensures client’s objectives are met through the implementation of Quality Management and Value Engineering procedures.
Director of MEP Engineering
Martin McFadden is a fully qualified Chartered Engineer with over 38 years of professional experience in the design, supervision and management of MEP Building Services Engineering. Prior to being appointed KEO’s Director of MEP Engineering in 2019, Martin held the position of Technical Director – MEP with our firm.
Currently based in Dubai, Martin has prior experience in an extensive number of countries including the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Canada, USA, Turks & Caicos Islands, Bahrain, Singapore, Bermuda, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He has been in the Middle East for the last 8 years.
Martin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the Caledonian University, Glasgow. He is also a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), a UK Engineering Council Chartered Engineer and an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD).
As Director of MEP Engineering, Martin is responsible for all aspects of MEP team management, including divisional profit & loss account responsibilities, technical advisory, technical review, implementation of business objectives, strategy development and client key account management.
Country Manager & Executive Director, CM/CS Services, Qatar
Maher Muhyeddeen brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the engi-neering and construction field, gained from renowned construction firms, contrac-tors and consultancies in the United Kingdom, Kuwait and Qatar. He has an exten-sive experience in both the private and public sectors working on iconic projects in many countries. He has successfully managed the various stages of the project de-livery lifecycle including tender and post tender, design and build, and construction management and supervision.
Maher has recently taken on the role of KEO’s Qatar Country Manager. This will be in addition to his existing role as Executive Director, CM/CS Services for Qatar.
Maher is a great example of the career and talent development we invest in as a firm. He joined us in 2010 as Chief Construction Manager and in a span of 7 years with the business, stepped up to become a Director of CM/CS for all Qatar projects, was quickly promoted to Executive Director in 2016 and is now taking on the dual role of Country Manager for all of Qatar. In his remit, as the Executive Director for CM/CS Services in Qatar, Maher manages about 800 professional staff over 45 projects.
The Country Manager will be supporting the work of all KEO Divisions in Qatar, help-ing them to continue with business development successes, client management functions, and will be available to provide guidance to all divisions in matters related to successful project delivery in Qatar. Particularly with our Public Sector clients. The Country Manager position spans all our business and support units in any instance that involves risk mitigation, mediation or resolution of conflicts that might arise with clients or governmental authorities, whether pro-actively or in a supporting role.
Managing Director, KEO-Corporate Business Development
Brad Batcheller joined KEO in 1998 and currently manages branding services throughout all KEO office locations. He has over 20 years of marketing know-how and specializes in leveraging talent and technology to deliver uniquely targeted media to clients, associates and partners. For the last decade, he has honed his skill in delivering lead generation, cross-divisional tenders, targeted collateral, corporate and project websites, digital marketing, public relations, social media strategy and B2B presentations. In addition, he manages the resource development of internal systems such as the corporate SharePoint which serves as the nerve center for the firm.
The development, monitoring and continual growth of KEO is his remit and he thrives on helping specialist groups within the firm gain traction and build market share. Examples of this is in the evolution of KEO’s allied practices in urban planning, landscape and quantity surveying specialties. The fully branded 'sister firms', InSite and C-Quest, were successfully launched as wholly owned subsidiaries to KEO in late 2016. For all of KEO as well as its allied practices, Brad manages daily delivery of presentations, branding, project tracking, marketing collateral, advertising, qualifications, PR and social media content.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College, USA and completed courses at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, USA. Prior to joining KEO, he worked in various Boston A/E firms delivering wayfinding, branding and marketing for healthcare and retail clients throughout North America.
Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer has overall responsibility for financial operations across all of KEO, all its P& L Operations, Allied Practices and offices. The position of Chief Financial Officer includes overall group responsibility for finance, credit management, taxation, treasury including banking, bonds, financial accounting, auditing, management accounts, and internal controls. As KEO’s Chief Financial Officer, Ayub is also a full member of KEO’s Executive Leadership Board that has responsibility for setting directions, strategies and policies for the firm. His focus includes providing leadership in improving commercial awareness across the firm, managing commercial risks and delivering on expected commercial results. Working with all of their executive leadership team and project delivery professionals, the Chief Financial Officer has a clear mandate to instil commercial best practices within the firm and for developing corresponding training programs within KEO.
Ayub has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Management of large complex corporate financial systems, and over 6 years’ experience within the GCC region. Previously, Ayub was the finance manager and board member for the Oil & Gas as well as Management Consultancy Unit at Mott Macdonald operating in the GCC, UK, and Asia. It was in these markets that Ayub honed his skills as an effective commercial leader operating in different cultures, jurisdictions with complex legal, contractual and tax frameworks. Ayub’s experience also draws from a wide range of businesses, including as auditor, in education, IT internet start-ups, cost management, project and program management, management consultancy, power and the oil and gas sectors.
General Counsel and Director, Contracts & Claims
Wayne Innis is a highly qualified legal practitioner with over 20 years of international experience gained within both private legal practice and construction/engineering firm environments within the Asian Pacific and GCC regions.
Wayne is a perceptive and successful negotiator of a variety of high value commercial and construction project related agreements and the provider of pragmatic and commercial legal advice. As well as, being an incisive analyst and a cogent reviewer of risk, he also has extensive experience with construction claims management and dispute resolution.
Wayne is a strong and effective communicator, both with our internal project teams as well as with our Clients, including government authorities, high profile private developers and their banks. He leverages his experience of dealing with multi-party, high value contracts that reflect extensive and complex construction works to offer clear and accurate advice grounded in industry expertise
Vice President, Human Resources
Ann de Villiers is an experienced Human Resources leader with a successful track record of over 20 years with KEO.
